How to Remove Mink Eyelashes

Applying mink lashes is the most important part of daily makeup. This will help you start your day with beautiful makeup.

It’s important to remove your mink eyelashes. I have shared the article on how to remove mine at home, and you also learned how to remove them without any makeup. Today, however, I want to add more.

Mink eyelashes In this section, I mean mink eyelashes strips. Yes, lashes and lashes can be different. The lash extensions are completely different from strip lashes.

Step 1

Using the makeup cotton, cleansing wise, or Q tips, dip the makeup cleaner liquid into your eye to apply the mink mascara to your eyes.

Step 2

Remove any extra lash glue/lash eyeliner from the mink eyes. Next, use the tweezer to remove the mink eyelashes from one side.

Tips: Be careful when tearing off mink lashes. You can pinch the lashband with your finger from one side. The mink fur texture is very soft so don’t try to stretch it from the middle.

Step 3

Gently wipe your upper lid with the cotton swab. Next, use the mild cleaning cream or the cleaning remover to clean your eyes.

Tips: Avoid oil-based makeup removers as they can cause skin irritation. Some people may not be able to use oil-based cosmetics because they are difficult to clean. The water-based makeup remover or any other type of remover will be gentle on your skin.

Step 4

After removing the mink eyelashes, clean them for your next use. Mink lashes can easily be re-used up to 25 times.

How to Remove Eyelash Extensions at Home

You can remove your eyelash extensions at-home successfully if you do what your lash stylist instructed you to do.
Remember your hairdresser telling you not to use oil-based makeup removers? Oils can cause adhesive to be broken down, which can lead to poor retention of eyelash extensions.

Step 1 - Wash your Face

You should wash your face as you would normally. Do not scrub your eyes as this could cause irritation and pull your lashes. This step removes any mascara or eye makeup from the eyelash extensions.

Step 2 - Use steam

Heat a large pot of water to boiling point. To keep the steam from escaping, place your face on top of it. Cover your head with a towel. Allow it to rest for a while to release the glue that holds the eyelash extensions.

Step 3 - Warm the Oil

Fill a small bowl with oil. While coconut oil is the most effective for removing lash extensions, vegetable oil, olive and caster oils are also good options.

Next, heat the oil. The oil should not be too hot as you will be dealing with sensitive eyes. You can check the temperature by placing your pinky finger in the oil. To speed up the process, you only need mild warmth.

Step 4 - Soak the Pads

Next, soak one or two cotton pads in the oil. After you are done, place one to two cotton pads in the warm oil on each eye, overlapping the lashes. It should remain on the eye for 5-10 minutes or until the heat has gone out of the cotton pad.

Use the oily pad to gently stroke your upper lashline. Allow the oil to sit for a few moments on your extensions.

Step 5 - Remove the Extensions

Use the same cotton pad to gently swipe your lash lines again. The cotton pad should now be able to gently swipe your lash line again.

This process must be done carefully to prevent damage to your natural lashes. Do not pull on the extensions if they are not falling off. They will need to be removed by a professional.

Conclusion

This tutorial will show you how to remove individual lashes. Lashes extensions are natural eyelashes that blend with your own lashes to create a beautiful eye makeup look.

The lash extensions can last a long time, so if you don’t know how to take them off, it is best to visit a professional salon.

You can also apply the mink eyelash strips, if you’re looking for different styles.

To minimize the chance of damaging your natural lashes, make sure you read the ingredients in the lash extensions glue and remover.
